Current Situation
Hezbollah has declared that it fired more than 100 rockets targeting Haifa and the Krayot region. The IDF has reported that most of these rockets were intercepted successfully. Furthermore, the IDF has begun a "limited" ground operation against Hezbollah in western southern Lebanon, a week after starting its ground invasion in the eastern sector.
In a televised statement, Hezbollah's deputy leader asserted that the group's resources remain "in good shape," a claim that an IDF spokesperson disputes, suggesting it does not reflect the current reality. The IDF has confirmed the death of Hezbollah commander Suhail Hussein Husseini in a recent strike in Beirut.
The ongoing conflict has displaced approximately 1.2 million people in Lebanon, with 400,000 seeking refuge in neighboring Syria. Many displaced individuals are now living in makeshift shelters on the streets of Beirut.
Gaza Conflict Continues
Amidst the focus on northern Israel and southern Lebanon, the situation in Gaza remains dire. The Hamas-run health ministry reports an additional 56 fatalities in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 41,965 since the onset of hostilities. The IDF stated that it has attacked around 70 targets across Gaza recently, including military infrastructure, and confirmed the death of 20 Hamas fighters during these operations. An Israeli soldier was also reported killed in combat in northern Gaza.
